Sunburned Hand of the Man è una band-collettivo di Boston e di New York e che esiste dal 1997, dai membri superstiti della band punk bostoniana Shit Spangled Banner. Le sonorità dei Sunburned Hand of the Man, considerati capofila di un possibile filone cosiddetto New Weird America, si traducono in fantasmi di rock lisergico, improvvisazioni urticanti, parole incomprensibili declamate in un'estasi aggressiva seminata di sequenze percussive vorticose e improbabili. Sunburned Hand of the Man is a band-collective based in Boston and New York in existence since 1997, of members from the Boston punk band Shit Spangled Banner. Sunburned are characterized by not having a fixed formation , recruiting musicians local to where they play.
