Saule (Xavier Garcia Bardon),musicista belga, 'suona il giradischi' in modo sperimentale, usando loops romantici, ritmi introspettivi e tutte le possibilità fisiche del vinile. E' membro del duo belga Géographique e del gruppo d'improvvisazione Buffle. Tra varie collaborazioni Saule ha suonato con Kim Cascone e Tony Conrad. Ha pubblicato un album con l'etichetta belga Sub Rosa (s/t, 2003) e appare sulla compilation Netmage 04. Come critico collabora al sito internet franco-belga www.brdf.net, dedicato alla musica e al cinema sperimentale.
Saule is the Belgian Xavier Garcia Bardon. His musical research has inscribed the most cultivated paths of turntablism, as has his continuous work on loop and his overlaying of sound, starting from a large number of discs being played simultaneously. His sound in which noises, imperfections, jumps and the scratches of old LPs, found in second hand markets, builds the theme of a fascinating rhythmic landscape, in constant evolution, improbably melodic, always hypnotic. Philip Jeck, Jan Jelinek and above all Odd Nosdam, are the immediate references that could be cited, even if Saule’s long rhythmic excursions don’t have any musical equivalents in the current scene, for magic and diffused magnetism.
