Krõõt Juurak, artista trasversale, performer e coreografa estone di Tallinn, basata a Vienna. Ha studiato coreografia in Olanda al ArtEz-Arnhem Institute of the Arts, e arti visive alla Gerrit Rietveld Academie e al Sandberg Institute di Amsterdam. Attiva dal 1998 on- e off-stage, si muove tra le arti visive, le arti performative e le arti del quotidiano. Si occupa di pratiche collaborative, metodologie pseudo-sovversive e specie estinte. Tra i temi trattati: il camouflage, le convenzioni, lo sguardo del pubblico e le sue aspettative, la non autonomia, l'ovvio. I suoi progetti Bad Mood (2014), uno stato umorale, KroOt (2013), il suo nome che diventa un luogo di spettacolo che affitta ad altri artìsti, Ride The Wave Dude (2010), extended-performance con Mårten Spångberg, e le precedenti performance Autodomestication (2009), Scripted Smalltalk (2009), Once Upon (2006), Look Look (2005) in collaborazione con Anne Juren, Camouflage (2002) con Merle Saarva, Burning Down the House con Laura Kalauz, e Artistic Approach 3.1 (2003) sono stati presentati in varie forme e contesti internazionali tra cui: Mindaugas Triennial, Contemporary Art Center (CAC) (Vilnius, 2012); ImPulsTanz Vienna (2012); de Appel (Amsterdam, 2012; 2014); Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen (Innsbruck, 2010); F.I.S.Co.10 (Bologna 2010); Kunsthalle Wien project space Karlsplatz (Vienna, 2010); Tallinn Art Hall (2009); deSingel (Antwerp, 2008). Collabora con la piattaforma EVERYBODYS, con Multiplex Fiction (magazine), Chicks on Speed (il progetto), Pelican Avenue (fashion label).

Krõõt Juurak is a performer born in Tallinn/Estonia and currently based in Vienna. She studied choreography at the Arnhem Institute of the Arts and visual arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. Active on and off-stage stage as performer and choreographer since 1998, she works in performance between the visual, the performing arts and the everyday arts. In her research she is mainly interested in conventionality or pseudo-subversive methodologies, including extinct practices and species into performance. She deals with issues such as camouflage, inautonomy, obviousness.
