Marco Berrettini, coreografo italo-tedesco. All'età di 15 anni, in Germania, è stato campione nazionale di disco-dance. Formatosi come danzatore alla London School of Contemporary Dance e alla Folkwangschulen di Essen con Pina Bausch, ha studiato scienze teatrali, etnologia europea e antropologia culturale. Il suo percorso di interprete è tanto eterogeneo quanto lo sono le fonti che ispirano le sue coreografie. Ha danzato in una compagnia jazz, in un corpo di balletto classico e nelle compagnie di danza contemporanea di Georges Appaix, François Verret, Noémie Lapsezon. Nel 1986 fonda la compagnia Tanzplantation, ribattezzata nel 2000 *Melk Prod., con cui ha all'attivo più di venti creazioni, tra cui le più recenti No paraderan (2004), L'Opérette sans sous, si... (2006) e *MELK PROD. goes to New Orleans (2007). Dal 2004 dirige la sezione Movimento alla Haute Ecole de Théâtre de Suisse romande a Losanna. Artista temerario e non sottomesso a norme e convenzioni, promulgatore di una 'danza per tutti' e contro lo 'spettacolarmente corretto', segue la massima di Nietzsche: bisogna danzare la vita.
Marco Berrettini italo-german choreographer. At the age of 15 he was German national champion in disco-dance. Trained as a dancer at the London School of Contemporary Dance, followed by the Folkwangschulen in Essen (Pina Bausch), he studied theater science, European ethnology and cultural anthropology. His path of interpreter is mixed, as are his inspirations in choreography. Dance in a jazz company, in a body of classical ballet and in the contemporary dance companies of Georges Appaix, François Verret, Noémie Lapsezon. In 1986 he founded Tanzplantation, rechristened *Melk Prod. in 2000 with more than twenty creations, among them the No paraderan (2004), L'Opérette sans sous, si... (2006) and *MELK PROD. goes to New Orleans (2007). Since 2004 he directs the Movimento section at Haute Ecole de Théâtre de Suisse romande in Lausanne. Ironic, provocative, unpredictable, advocate of a 'dance for all' and against 'theatrically correct', following the Nietzschian maxim 'Life must be danced'. *Melk Prod is a company that is artist-formed, open source and transversal.
