Leila Gharib, musicista. Dal 2004 svolge un’intensa attività live come cantante e chitarrista nel trio musicale garage-rock BIKINI THE CAT, con cui pubblica due LP, Cold water, hot water, very hot water (La Matricola/Venus 2005) e Me, you and the superheroes (La Valigetta/Self 2008). Nel 2008 continua il suo percorso insieme alla danzatrice Sonia Brunelli, con cui fonda BAROKTHEGREAT e realizza il suono per gli spettacoli di danza A NNN A e Barok. A partire da queste esperienze sposta la sua ricerca verso l’elettronica e una sua stretta aderenza concettuale.
Leila Gharib, musician. In 2004, as a singer and guitar player, she founded the garage-rock trio BIKINI THE CAT and she released two LPs, Cold water, hot water, very hot water (La Matricola/Venus 2005) and Me, you and the superheroes (La Valigetta/Self 2008). In 2008 she continued her musical research collaborating with the dancer Sonia Brunelli, with whom she started BAROKTHEGREAT, and composed the music for the dances A NNN A and Barok. Since then she took an interest in electronic sounds, following a close adherence to a concept.
