Il progetto FESTA scandisce su scala nazionale un calendario di appuntamenti performativi, propiziatori e non celebrativi. Una serie di situazioni che si richiamano l’un l’altra. FESTA si articola in commissioni affidate a personalità artistiche per ideare e realizzare ciascuna una tipologia di evento ‘festivo’, un prototipo inteso come momento di sospensione dell’ordinarietà, nei tempi e nei modi. Al centro di queste progetto c’è la volontà di indagare e rimodulare i rapporti tra arte e pubblico.

FESTA project articulates a calendar of performative, propitiatory, and non-celebratory appointments, in a variety of locations. A series of situations that recall one another. FESTA is based on commissions to artistic personalities, each invited to conceive and create a typology of 'festive event’, a prototype for an artwork intended as a state of suspension of the ordinary; a (temporary) change of regime.At the heart of this project is the desire to investigate and reshape the relationship between art and the public.
