Yves-Noël Genod, artista francese è creatore pluri-disciplinare inclassificabile. Attore per Claude Régy, François Tanguy del Théâtre du Radeau e Xavier Marchand, nel 2002 debutta nel mondo della danza classica con Wayne Byars. Stabile è la sua collaborazione con i coreografi Loïc Touzé e Latifa Laâbissi e intermittente quella con molti artisti della scena sperimentale francese. Realizza spettacoli, esibizioni, performance, interventi ibridi, progetti improbabili dai toni leggeri e densi, in cui le apparenze si sfaldano allegramente. "I miei progetti sono di natura poetica - questo significa necessariamente lo scarto di valori, la distruzione di immagini, il saccheggio delle mercanzie e la loro ridistribuzione". Le sue creazioni hanno spesso forma di eventi unici. E’ stato invitato a Bologna da Xing con Morceau (FISCo Festival Internazionale sullo Spettacolo Contemporaneo, 2005) e LOVE (FISCo, 2006) in veste di performer, e come autore e regista con Elle court dans la poussière, la rose de Balzac (FISCo, 2007), e con Hotel Palace (Live Arts Week, 2012).
Marie-Noëlle Genod si definisce ‘distributrice’ di poesia e luce. Non inventa nulla che non esista già, si limita a lasciare che le cose fluiscano, "è passata di qua, ripasserà di là", rivela. Ha sempre recitato e diretto. Inizialmente ha lavorato con Claude Régy e François Tanguy (Théâtre du Radeau). Partita dalla contact improvisation, si è poi dedicata alla danza, lavorando principalmente con Loïc Touzé. Ha ricevuto molte commissioni (sempre ‘carte blanche’): spettacoli – quasi un centinaio fino ad oggi – e performance, presentate per lo più in festival o spazi dedicati alla danza o alle forme d’arte ibride. Un teatro spogliato di dramma e azione, dove rimane solo poesia, un fantasma, una traccia.

A series of commissions (always ‘cartes blanches’) followed: shows - nearly a hundred to date - and performances, usually presented at festivals or venues for dance or hybrid forms. A theatre from which the drama and action have been removed, leaving only the poetry, the ghost, the trace.
