Sunik Kim è un musicista, scrittore e filmmaker basato a Los Angeles. Attraverso la generazione computerizzata del suono affronta le problematiche della distorsione percettiva e temporale. Ha pubblicato vari interventi su The Wire Magazine, Pitchfork, Bandcamp Daily, Tone Glow, Soap Ear, Bellona Magazine e altri, occupandosi di temi che spaziano da Conlon Nancarrow e la cibernetica sovietica, alla dilatazione del tempo e l’erotismo in Woolf, Proust, Rivette e la jungle degli anni '90, al massacro nel 1923 dei lavoratori coreani immigrati e dei comunisti, in Giappone, all’indomani del terremoto del Kanto. Sunik Kim is a musician, writer and filmmaker currently based in Los Angeles. Their recent work attempts to unfold problems of perceptual and temporal distortion through computer-generated sound. Sunik Kim’s writing has been featured in The Wire Magazine, Pitchfork, Bandcamp Daily, Tone Glow, Soap Ear, Bellona Magazine and others, on subjects ranging from Conlon Nancarrow and Soviet cybernetics, to timestretching and eroticism in Woolf, Proust, Rivette, and 90s jungle, to the massacre of Korean migrant workers and communists during the 1923 Kanto Earthquake in Japan.
